Industrial RS-232 to RS-485 / RS-422 converter

The CATAL- 4018 is an industrial-grade RS-232 to RS-485/RS-422 converter. It converts TX and RX of RS-232 lines to a two-wire RS485 signal (half - duplex) or a four-wire RS-422 signal (full-duplex), and vice versa. The unit can be powered from the RS-232 port or from an external 5VDC power supply. It supports data direction auto-turnaround, and therefore, no software drivers or flow control is required.
